Poster Submission Guidelines

GMI is now accepting abstracts for poster presentations at the upcoming meeting. Interested parties should follow the below submission guidelines.

 

Poster Abstract

1.     All abstracts are to be submitted to Dr Natasha Yang, natashayang@ntu.edu.sg, cc: jschlundt@ntu.edu.sg; vdha@food.dtu.dk, by midnight 1 May 2019 (UTC+08:00).

2.     Abstracts summaries should be no more than 250 words in length. Excluding title, author(s), and personal information.

3.     No charts or tables are to be included.

4.     Ensure the abstract is grammatically correct and free of other errors. GMI reserves the right to edit abstracts for accuracy and length.

5.     The text on the abstract should be a single paragraph in Arial font, size 11

6.     Authors' names should be in capital letters. Place an asterisk after the name of the author (if there is more than one) presenting the paper. Each author should be listed by department, division, institute, city, state and country. All addresses should follow the last author's name.

7.     GMI will review submissions based on relevance to its mission as well as the ability to effectively communicate outcomes in a clear and concise format.

8.     Abstract submission outcomes will be announced after 5 May 2019.

 

Poster Preparation

1.     Posters must adhere to A1 size, in portrait format, (59.4cm x 84.1cm or 23.4inches x 33.1inches).

2.      At least one of the authors must attend the poster during the designated time period to discuss the work presented.

3.     A matte finish on photographs gives better visibility due to reduction of glare.

4.     Bring your printed poster and Blu-tack for mounting onto panels.

5.     Notification of poster locations and other details will follow on from the selection process.
