NTU College of Engineering (CoE) is ranked 1st in Asia and Singapore and 6th in the world for Engineering and Technology in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject 2019. This is the third consecutive year that NTU College of Engineering is being ranked first in Asia and Singapore for Engineering and Technology.
3 Engineering Subjects in Global Top 10
Three NTU engineering subjects rank among the world's top 10. Materials Science (3rd) leads the pack, followed by Electrical and Electronic Engineering (6th), and Civil and Structural Engineering (10th).
Ranked third globally for Materials Science (MSE) two years in a row, it is also the fourth consecutive year that our Materials Science is No. 1 in Asia and Singapore.
Our Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) have also made great improvements in their respective subject rankings. EEE moved up 6 places from No. 12 last year while CEE has leapt an impressive 11 places upward from No. 21 in 2018.
In addition, another three NTU engineering subjects rank among the world's top 20. They are: Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering (11th), Chemical Engineering (12th) and Computer Science and Information Systems (12th). Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering has advanced three places to No. 11 while our Chemical Engineering and Computer Sciences and Information Systems have moved up 2 places and 4 places respectively to their current positions.
