The School of Computer Science and Engineering is renowned for the quality of its students and its innovative, vanguard research.

It is also reflected in the extensive number of publications in prestigious international journals by the School’s faculty as well as the School’s prominent representation at conferences worldwide.

The School consists of four divisions: Visual & Interactive Computing, Networks & Distributed Systems, Hardware & Embedded Systems and Software & Information Systems.

The world-class quality of the talent at the School also sees the faculty, researchers and students regularly participating in and winning international and regional competitions such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup, ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest and Google’s India Code Jam.

In addition, faculty members are involved in collaborative research activities with both local government agencies and industries, and eminent international institutions and leading organisations. Supporting the School’s research activities are the numerous sophisticated research centres and laboratories housed within the School.
