Inter-School Research Centres
To encourage and nurture research initiatives and excellence, research at the College is pursued at Centres, Laboratories and programs that go beyond school or departmental boundaries.
With key advances in research increasingly occurring at the interfaces between “traditional” disciplines, Inter-School Research Centres play an important role in leading new discoveries and facilitating strategic and potentially transformative initiatives through combination of knowledge bases and increased magnitude of activity, which could not be undertaken in the absence of cross-discipline participation.
The set up of Inter-School Research Centres in the College is a deliberate effort to spur collaborative research and reduce barriers to investigation in strategic or emerging areas that demand interdisciplinary expertise.
